Diocesan Mausoleums

Recognizing the growing demand for above ground burial space, the Springfield Diocesan Cemeteries have constructed two chapel mausoleums, St. Michael the Archangel Chapel Mausoleum, located in St. Michael Cemetery, and the Most Holy Redeemer Chapel Mausoleum, located in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Tradition and simplistic style embraces the elegance of these two facilities. Each has a central chapel adorned with skylights and stained glass windows. Much care is taken to provide an atmosphere of reverence and respect. Visitors are always welcome and private prayer and meditation is encouraged.

Built on dignity, respect and caring service, current and future generations’ burial needs will be met by these Diocesan Mausoleums. Individual, companion and family crypts and cremation niches from granite to marble and bronze design fronts, the Diocesan Mausoleums offer a variety of configurations and styles. Each mausoleum contains hundreds of full body crypts and cremation niches. Entombment and inurnment in these facilities provides a clean, dry and ventilated environment at a cost which compares favorably with in ground burial.
