Calvary Cemetery - Holyoke

This ten acre facility was originally a parochial cemetery of Sacred Heart Parish, Holyoke. The parish was established in 1876 and the cemetery was opened in 1912. At the request of Bishop Maguire, responsibility for the administration and maintenance of this cemetery was moved under the Springfield Diocesan Cemeteries, Inc. management. About ten acres in size, this facility is completely developed and currently generates revenues by performing grave openings for families with existing space on their lots. Current estimates of burials is approximately 8,253.
