Notre Dame Cemetery

Notre Dame Cemetery has served the Catholic community of South Hadley since land was first purchased for burial in 1896. Set on 26 acres and holding approximately 30,000 burials, it is the largest Catholic cemetery in South Hadley. Since coming under diocesan management in 2008, the cemetery has expanded with a cremation garden and a two-grave monument section, offering families meaningful options for final disposition. Records are maintained in an on-site office, and the cemetery adjoins the historic Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
